Elijah was born Feb.27,2003, Our first little grandson. We call him "Little Man". He is our only grandchild born out of Jacksonville, Fl. He was born in Tn. He was just beautiful, and so tiny...5lbs. When he was home for only a few hours, he began having trouble breathing, J.P. & Tammy were getting dressed upstairs, while the rescue unit was on the way, when Elijah stopped breathing...Papa & I did CPR on him & he began to breath again. Upon arriving at the hospital, he crashed......He was a very sick "Little Man" for a while. He finally, got to come home. He was on a heart/ lung machine for about 8 months. When Elijah was only about 5 weeks old, J.P. got transferred back to JIA. God is always in control. The Dr's in Knoxville, were great..Elijah was in the place he needed to be. But, then they were back where Tammy knew all the Dr's, (that can be a really good thing, when you have one so sick). Elijah as you grew your health became better & better. You never wanted to Eat. You wanted to drink Boost all the time. We would all really work at getting you to eat. But finally the day came (maybe about 4yrs old) when you had NO MORE BOOST! ! Now you just wanted food. What a wonderful thing to hear you say "I'm Hungry". This was music to the hears, of all of us. You were Daddy & Papa's little buddy. You were always following behind them saying "What are we going to do next?" If Papa was cutting limbs on bushes, racking, pulling weeds, working in the building, digging a hole......no matter what; you were right their until he was finished. You really loved to help...& you were a big help. At 5 yrs old) you are still a big help & you always want to help Papa, when he is around. It has been so great, to watch you grow to the Little Man you are. We have watched you learn to walk, talk, run, help everyone. Elijah, you are a wonderful "Little Man". You are learning by the guidance of your Daddy & Mama to be what God would have you to be. Elijah, each day always think about ...What would Jesus have me to do ? As of July 2007, you are living in TN, again. Papa & Granny miss you more than you can ever know. BUT, We can all visit & aren't blogs wonderful & Skype; so, we can see & talk to ya'll on the web cam. Of course, you are only 5 1/2 but, you are the Best Little Brother, Son & Grandson in the world. Papa & Granny pray for the Lords guidance in your life always. WE LOVE YOU WITH ALL OUR HEARTS

Abigail, Granddaughter #3 "our sweet bundle of joy". Thurs Feb 5th, 1998..Papa & I were in the delivery room & there you were. A head full of black hair, the most perfect little round face, a cute little butterball. so, adorable & you still are. Yes, Papa & I took tons of Pixs & showed them to everyone we knew & did not know!! You were such a happy baby. The Lord sent you to a Daddy & Mama who are committed to teaching their children about Jesus, (What a blessing that is to Papa & I). You were surrounded by the love of Alyssa & Madison. You know Madison, she was only 16 mos old BUT, she wanted to do everything for you, even change your diaper..& Alyssa, wanted to do everything for you BUT, change your diaper. As you grew, your gentle spirit became sweeter & sweeter. As a little girl you always like to play dress up. You were always playing with Madison..& Ya'll were always following behide Alyssa. You all 3 love animals but, Papa calls you the "Animal Whisper" because, you can just get critters to do "things". They sense your gentle, soft, sweet, spirit, We just love that side of you. Like the bunny in the field behind our home, you just walked up to Ebunny & picked him up, put him in a cage & said, "you have a new home". Ya'll would play with the Ebunny & Care for him. He was a sweet Ebunny. Then there was the cockatil in our big oak tree. You kept calling him..you just knew he would fly down & you could keep him!! He did & You did!! You were not very old, when we could all see that you were very artistic. You amazed us with your drawings & the details you put in them. Papa & I are so proud of you & we love you so much. We are so thankful for, the closeness you & Madison, Alyssa & Elijah share & our prayer is, that you will all grow closer & closer. Abigail, our hearts are overflowing, as we look upon the Beautiful, sweet, loving, caring, respectful young lady you are today. Abigail, you are gentleness, kindness & love where you go! We are so thankful, for the almost 10 years you have been a part of our lives. You are JOY. Alyssa is Known to Papa as, Granddaughter #1. She is 17 years old. She has been a delight to our hearts since the first moment, we layed eyes on her in the delivery room. We told ourselves, we are not going to be like all these crazy grandparents we know. We will not, act all goofy and take 200 pictures , the first day she arrives and show them to everyone. OH WELL... We Did. Alyssa is such a part of our lives. We have watched her grow into the sweet, polite, respectful, loving, caring, obedient young lady, she is today. She loves God, above all and she has allowed Him to lead her daily. This love for God, is so apparent in the way she loves her parents and desires and strives, to be completely obedient as, they love and lead her daily. She loves her 2 sisters. Madison 11 yrs,& Abigail 9yrs and her little brother, Elijah 4 yrs. She realizes, that God has set her in the position within her family, that SHE IS THE EXAMPLE. The siblings love her dearly, they look up to her, they want to be like her. Alyssa, is always anxious for her sisters & brother to do the right thing. She is the example, that God would have her to be. We, as her grandparents could not be more proud of the young lady she has become. We know and she knows, it is because, she has allowed God to lead her daily. Alyssa, you keep a tender heart, you keep your eyes on God above and walk with him daily, as you have strived to do for a long time. Papa & I remember, once you said to us....." it is not how I live everyday of my life, BUT, How I live every second of my life, that really matters." We need to all look at EACH SECOND of our life, JUST LIKE THAT!!!! Alyssa, Papa & Granny love you with all our hearts!!!!

Madison, Granddaughter # 2 arrived on August 29, 1996. Alyssa, had prayed & prayed for a baby sister and here you were. We walked into the delivery room as the nurse was placing you under the light. Papa lifted Alyssa up to see you & she said, "There She Is". It's like she had waited all this time for you and now you were, " REAL." Alyssa was so excited to have a baby sister to love and help care for. Oh Yes, we took 200 pictures the first day and showed them to everyone we knew (and didn't know). What a Beautiful Baby Girl you were from the very moment you arrived and you still are. You amazed all of us, as you set up, walked, talked, ran, did things way before babies usually do. As you grew a little older, you would follow behind Alyssa all the time. You have always loved babies and want to help with them. When you were about 15 1/2 months old, your baby sister, Abigail arrived. From the moment she arrived, you wanted to hold her, feed her, look after her...and before your mama new it, you were changing her diaper. Then, Elijah arrived in 2003. It was, " I'll Take care of the baby" all over again. Madison, you have always wanted to care for babies. It is so apparent, that you love Alyssa, Abigail & Elijah with all your heart. It is clear the way you love & respect your daddy & mama. We are so thankful, that they strive daily to lead you in a walk with the Lord. You have brought such joy & blessings to our hearts, as we have watched you grow into the most Beautiful, sweet, loving, caring, respectful young lady you are today. We have admired how you use your intelligence to better things & to help others. The way you are always thinking ahead, of the situation at hand, ( it's; "what if & what if "; your brain wheels are always turning). Papa & I are so proud of you. In many ways you are quiet; then there are times when you are the jokster in the room. Papa loves that in you!! You are happiness, joy & love wherever you are. Papa & I have loved the past 11 years with you in our lives....you are a delight!! Madison, you have a strong spirit. Always give that spirit, to the Lord and allow Him, to daily control your life. Papa & I will continue to pray for you daily. We love you with all our hearts!!!!!!
